Valerie Taylor is retired from a forty year career in marketing and is living the author life in Shelton, CT.
Financial services marketer, copywriter, editor, novelist, author are all words to describe Valerie. But being called Mimi by her granddaughter is what brings her the most joy these days. Born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, Valerie earned a B.S. Marketing degree and an MBA from Sacred Heart University, as well as a graduate certificate in health care administration from Simmons University in Boston. In her spare time, Valerie is a book reviewer with BookTrib.com; and a member of Westport Writers’ Workshop, Independent Book Publishers Association, and Women’s Fiction Writers Association. And she enjoys practicing tai chi and being an expert sports spectator.
With the recent publication of What’s Not True, the sequel to What’s Not Said, Valerie has firmly established herself as an award-winning author.
In the short year since its publication, What’s Not Said has been recognized in the U.S. and internationally. To name a few: In addition to winning multiple Firebird Book Award categories (Romantic Comedy, Contemporary Novel, Marriage, and Chick Lit), What’s Not Said was a 2020 Canadian Book Club Awards Finalist in Fiction and was recently named to the Long List for the 2021 Chanticleer International Book Awards for Romance Fiction.
The third and last book in the What’s Not series is a work-in-progress.
