We are adding more young readers to our Children’s Book Contest judging panel.
Because we always do things with a fun twist – our children’s book entries are judged by two qualified adult judges and two child/young adult judges. After all, children are the audience, so why not allow them to have a say?
We have assembled young authors and avid readers, ages 6 – 18, who are delighted to read and offer their input. Their scoring accounts for 25% of the total score with questions such as: Would you read this book again? Would you share this book with your friends? Would you like to see this book in your school/town’s library? What did you like best about this book?
It’s our way to get our author’s books into young hands while at the same time offering budding authors and readers an opportunity to take part in an actual book-judging process.
If you have a child or grandchild or know of a child who would like to read and comment on a few books each quarter, please fill in the form below, and we will reply. There is no obligation on the child’s part to commit to reading, and no compensation is involved.
When we receive a children’s book entry that may be appropriate or of interest to your child, we email you the book and cover along with a form with a few questions. When the child finishes the book and answers the questions (with or without your help, depending on their age), email the form back to us. Upon receipt of the first book read, we will give your child a certificate of judging status, as seen at the top of the page.
